I thrive on helping others and going above the clouds to find results with each and every family. I'm enthusiastic about growing and gaining new skills in my Instructional Design and Educational Technology journey. I value learning from others, authentic connections, hearing about other parent's passions and how I can possibly help. Currently working my way through my PhD and am forming my own theory. I recently built three new hybrid parenting classes that include more compassion, transformation, acclimation and enrichment processes than my previous courses. I’m not afraid to have THOSE tough conversations. I believe in working through actual life situations, including, CPS, court dates, attorneys, judges, technology, education, employment, contributions, distant learning, parenting style differences, separated parenting style differences, bullying, home and family relationships but smiling, laughing and even getting A LOT creative along the way!
I am a big believer in keeping kids busy, so they won’t keep you busy, that the optimal predictor of future behavior is NOT past behavior, specifically for those parents who participate in discovering relevant solutions for their family’s individual positions and the idea that "A spoon full of sugar..." well, you know the rest. I love reading about parenting solution options. Two of my favorite books are Parenting with Love and Logic: Teaching Children Responsibility by Foster W. Cline and Jim Fay, Breakthrough Parenting: Unlock the Secrets to a Great Relationship with Your Children by A. Jayne Majors and of course my favorite the Bible.
What parenting books are you reading? What are you doing to develop tranquility in your home or employment while having kids? What is working? What is not? Feel free to connect and let me know!
