Workbooks are an essential resource for parents seeking immediate, practical, and effective solutions for their parenting challenges. Evidence shows that parents overwhelmingly prefer workbooks because they are accessible, easy to understand, and straightforward to use. Unlike more costly interventions or online quick-fix programs, workbooks provide immediate assistance, allowing parents to take proactive steps without delay. They offer a cost-effective alternative that can be used anytime, anywhere, providing valuable support right when it's needed. Our workbooks are based on research and feedback from parents, ensuring they address real needs and deliver actionable strategies that make a difference.
My motivation for writing parenting books stems from a desire to help others facing similar challenges without divulging personal details that could harm others. Writing has been a sanctuary that saved my sanity, allowing me to share experiences in a way that disguises my own struggles among those shared by many parents. This approach ensures privacy while offering meaningful support to others in similar situations. If you, someone you know, or an organization needs a subject covered, please let me know. I have three books in the making for a spring 2025 release date. #TranquilParenting #SavedMySanity #TraumaInformedExpressiveArts
In my doctoral studies, I discovered that creative solutions, diversity, equity, inclusion, self-awareness, and peacebuilding are all crucial factors in community college education. The Tranquil Studio courses, for example, utilizes project-based activities that adhere to the engagement theory developed by Kearsley and Shneiderman in 1998. Students, instructors, content, and peers all share their presence equally during these activities on the online Canvas LMS, while trust, awareness, and empathy are interwoven. This infographic illustrates how the mindfulness portion of TMID, meaningful purpose, presence (Pacansky-Brock & T&L Innovations), and engagement all work together seamlessly to shape a successful educational experience.
If parents are not mindfully present, these intervention methods will not change behavior (attitudes).
